"Maddie" "Maddie"
There it was again!
"Mahhddiee" "Mahhddiee"
The whisper, her name, what was happening to her?
She had done everything she could think of, she ripped off the necklace and threw it away
"Finally, I'm free"
What more could she do? She gave in to the voice
"You freed me"
She picked up the necklace, that was her final mistake
"Mahhddiee" "Join me here"
She now longed for the voice, she needed it, it needed her, she had to help.
She freed the voice.
There was a light, it was beautiful.
She wandered toward it, it swallowed her whole.
She felt so light, so beautiful.
"Yesss" "Yesssss come closer"
She stopped, she was there, at the gates of hell.
Who knew hell was so beautiful?
She longed to be behind the gates.
The voice called to her.
"Open the gates, join me here"
She reached for the gates and pushed.
The second her hand touched the doors she realized her mistake.
She jerked back but it was too late.
She wasn't Maddie anymore.
Where was she?
It's cramped.
It's cold.
There he was, Nick.
He was so big.
Where was she?
He picked her up in her prison.
"You look so beautiful"
She screamed, but her screams were lost in the darkness.
The darkness that was now her world.
Her world with all the lost souls.
Trapped.
Trapped in the necklace.
Nick looked down at the necklace and smiled.
As the new diamond added itself to the collection.
And if the next girl looked to close she would see hundreds of souls.
Souls that are lost forever in the hell that is the necklace.
Good thing they never do.

Ever since the new boy moved in next door she had been charmed by him. He was smooth, cunning, and romantic. After their first date he gave her a beautiful antique necklace. There were hundreds of tiny crystal clear diamonds hanging off a lovely delicate silver chain. It had to have been expensive, it looked centuries old. His name was Nick.

She never learned much about him, never noticed anything strange, other than the fact that after he gave her that beautiful gift something changed within him, something was off about him. Everyone warned her, warned her to stay away. She never heard them, never heard their warnings. Something, something was drawing her in, calling her to Nick.

She felt so distant from him. It had been weeks, months maybe, since they had last talked. He was all she could think about, she spent all her time locked in her room. She was obsessed. The necklace was all she had left of him and she wore it everywhere, never taking it off, never speaking to anyone, never eating, never sleeping. She was possessed with thoughts of him, he was her whole world.

Then the day came, he called. He wanted to meet her again, he told her the date, place, and time. That was when it started. The whisper. Her name. She heard him calling to her, he needed her too. Constant and always. She heard it. Her name being called. She couldn't wait to see him again, so she ran. She ran to his home, she knew he was there she felt it. She went the the backyard, the voice growing ever stronger. She sat on a stone, she knew he was waiting for her, then the voice changed. It was no longer Nick calling to her it was a girl, the voice now stronger. There were many! So many voices. They filled her head. "Help me." "Save yourself." "RUN." One voice though, one voice stood out among all the others. It was the voice she had been hearing all along. The whisper. It knew her name, it knew her thoughts, it knew who she was. And it wanted her soul.
