The razor sharp blade cut through the flesh like butter separating tendons and muscle from bone. The blade was a blur as the skilled butcher separated the pieces of beef for the cooler display showcase at B&R Packing. Bobby abused loud "What a day for Ray to call in sick. Bob had a ton of work to do before the shop was to open and without his normally reliable partner it was going to be one hell of a day. Bob was what some would call a hot head and this was not his idea of a fun morning. With anger he was slamming the cleaver point first into the cutting board and went to the cooler for another side of beef. Having a terrible fight with his wife the night before he now felt bad about the things he said and the names he called her. "Maybe I will just finish up this last bit and just close the shop for the day" he thought to himself. Bob did just that, Finishing the side of Angus steer and posing a "closed due to illness" on the shop door he cleaned up and headed home.
Pulling into his driveway he noticed a truck parked across the street he did not recognize. He quietly entered his house and thought he would go slip into bed and surprise his wife Jen as she was surely still sound asleep at this early hour of the morning. Entering his bedroom he quietly kicked off his shoes and walked around to his side of the bed….Then he noticed it, Men's boots and a pile of clothes in the corner and they were not his. Bob ripped off the sheets and there they were a half asleep terrified Ray and his beloved with, nude in his bed together. The razor sharp blade came down with anger and violence again and again, again and again.
The razor sharp blade cut through the flesh like butter, Ray could not even tell what parts were his or hers now. The meat grinder was put to work and Ray made a nice mix of pork, spices and their flesh when deboned. Sausages it is he thought and the rest he made into hamburger. He opened the shop with two new specials on the board "Summer Blend Links and Lean Free range ground beef". The specials were flying out of the store and Bob could not believe how fast he was running out. Customer after customer stating that was the best ground beef they have ever tasted and the sausage was "To Die For". The sales on his other products were really slow now but the money from his two new products was great!
Closing the store for the day he had a dilemma and checked his cooler, He was totally out now of his new product. Grabbing his trusty de boning knife and carefully slipping it into his jacket pocket he headed out into the cold night to restock his cooler.
