I am not insane I tell you! Listen and hear me out. Whatever they tell you it's not true. I am sane, as sane as any other person walking on the street. My home is not haunted as they say. No not my home but my wardrobe. It lives like a parasite within my very room and I have had neither chance nor strength to remove it from my presence.
During the daytime it grants me lenience and allows me to withdraw my belongings but I knew better. It is in disguise. At night as I lay in bed I could hear the wood within the wardrobe creak. Oh yes it's a small creak. So silent one might think it was only the house itself slightly moving due to natural causes but I knew better. It was the wardrobe. I could feel its presence, the thing within it. The cherry wood is the home to it and at night it comes out silent while I am asleep. It will feast on my flesh. It will suck the marrow from the bones and devour my soul if I'm not careful. However I was. I stayed awake every day. Every single time the wood creaked I was poised to defend. I could not stand it forever and what I did was a righteous thing.
The last night of that wicked monster was the same night when I was locked in this padded cage like a lunatic. I sat in bed watching. My eyes tunneled into the wardrobe. Its presence was like a black hole, sucking all light and life into it. I could hear the beat of my heart as I sat in bed watching. Wind whispered in my ear through the window. Then the wretched creak of wood. I could bear it no longer. Springing from my bed I screamed, "You shall torment me no longer!" The monster was no match for my wits for I had prepared a flaming cocktail to toast its last night on earth. I threw it with all my might and the cocktail shattered sending white hot flames into the wardrobe. I heard it hiss and crackle as it was engulfed and I stood basking in the flame's glory. The house was soon baptized by the glorious flame as well.
However the devil has tempted some weak humans and extinguished it. The monster was only wounded not destroyed. It travels from wardrobe to wardrobe seeking a prey. The mysterious suicides that are usually heard in the news, those are the monster's doing. My friends trust me I am no lunatic. It can be in your room this very second. I am not lunatic let me out of this cell!
