Suspense: A scary story with suspense keeps the reader anxious and on the edge till the end. The events of such stories eventually build up to a big dramatic end with the revelation of the big suspense. The two possible emotional outcomes in the reader can be despair or sorrow. The practice known as necromancy became popular eventually and people started writing about such experienced and encounters. Through such stories people get a glimpse of the “strangeness” of the unknown world of horror and deceased spirits.
Kid’s Stories: Scary stories for children are less gruesome and gory as compared to the one written for adults. Examples of such stories are ones which are told around campfires or at Halloween. Scary stories which are aimed to be read by the younger audience also take the form of a fairy tale with supernatural elements such as elves and gnomes which are evil.
