I Am Not Human

There we stood. Infront of my "appartment." He was wearing jeans and a light green derss shirt with a gray suit jacket.  I was wearing a little, dark purple, one shoulder, short dress.

You see, I am not human. I only appear to be. I am a vampire.

I do not own an appartment, or house, or even a condo. I live simply out in nature. So, with that said, lets get back to the story, shall we?

After talking for a couple hours at a fancy restaurant over champaign and supper, he volunteered to walk me home. So I happily accepted.

We were standing in front of the steps leading to the door. I could hear his heart beat. I could almost taste the blood pulsating through his veins.  His blood smelled extreamly delicious.

He did not know what I am. He only thought of me as a pretty, young lady. I could tell that he expected more than a little kiss goodnight. Too bad he didn't know exactly what "more than a little kiss goodnight" was.

He turned to face me, then, gradually slid his hand down my back. He leaned in to kiss me. I let him. I figured I should let him get a little pleasure before he dies.

His kiss wasn't sweet, or loving. It was powerful, and sent the message, that he thought he was in control now.

He couldn't be more wrong.

After he had been kissing me for a few minutes, thats when I struck. I pulled away with such force and speed, he nearly fell. He looked down into my eyes, his facial expresion told me that he was confused.

"What's wrong?" He asked, grabbing hold of my waist again.

I grabbed his hand, as I did so, I felt the crunching of bones breaking beneath my hand.  He cringed and let a little cry escape his lips. That one little cry, set me off.

I lifted his hand, and simply twisted it until his wrist gave out, and snapped. I smiled. His eyes were in tears now.  That only gave me more power.

He was staring at me, his eyes full of fear, and pain. That's the last emotion his face, or eyes would ever show someone again. At that moment, I let my razor sharp teeth find the little punding in his neck that was his heart beat.

His blood was sweet, warm, and filling. When my teeth sunk into his neck he cried out in agony. I could feel his body start to fight the venom I let escape into his body. He tried to pull away, but I was too strong for him.

My expert senses told me somebody was coming, so I dragged him to the alley around the corner. Once the stranger had passed by I continued my work.

His blood was so delicious, I couldn't help but to moan as I drank. His blood was still warm. It was arguably the best I'd tasted in all of my 357 years. His blood was invigorating, empowering, and just plain wonderful.

When I had finished I let his body fall to the ground. I then realized that I was shaking. His body lay there, lifeless and still. The side of his neck was red with his blood, as was some of his shirt and jacket.

I almost, almost felt sorry. I almost felt the glimpse, of what used to be my humanity, and just like that, it was gone. I was no longer human. I haven't been human in years.

I do not miss who I used to be. I embrace who I am now. I don't feel sorry for my victims, they walk right into my hands.

I am not human. I am a vampire.

Will you be my next victim?
