diary Of The Living

I ran, i ran as fast as i could, there was no way i was going to die. I looked behind me and saw the girl of my dreams, she fell. I quickly turned around and ran to her, she was all i had left. I picked her up and decided to carry her with me, if we were going to die, it would be together. I continued to run, i looked around for any sign of hope, or safe place, and that's when i noticed a building that said "Safe House". I looked behind me and saw that the dead were catching up, the building was so close, i didn't know if we would make it though. I ran even faster than before, running on adrenaline and whatever part of humanity i had left. We ran past car accidents, bodies, blood, and other debris. I suddenly missed home, my old life, the one that i left behind only a day ago. While i was thinking of my old life i didn't notice that we made it to the safe house. I set my crush down and banged on the door. "Jessica, its going to be alright now" I said to her. "Don't lie to me Ryan, everything is gone, I've seen it myself, I've seen what the dead can do" she replied as tears welled up in her eyes. I stayed silent, she was right, everything we once knew what gone. I looked back and saw that the dead were even closer. I started to bang on the door as hard i could. Is this the end, was i going to die right here with Jessica. In the middle of me losing hope the door opened. "Hurry, come in" said the man. Me and Jessica quickly ran in and watched the man close the door and lock it. "Thank you" cried Jessica. "No problem" he replied. He then took us into a room where we saw other survivors. They've seen the horrors outside, just like we did. "We have new people" yelled the man. "Treat them well". "Hello, its nice to meet you, I'm Ryan, and this is um..." Was all i managed to say before Jessica cut in, "I'm Jessica, Ryan was it that hard". "No, sorry" I said while blushing. But at that moment, it felt as if our story had just begun, because at that moment, someone I knew from my childhood appeared. Lora, and she was cuter than ever, but i knew more about her than anyone in this room, and i knew that she was deadly, and that if we did wrong to her we would die and that if we treated her right, then we would live and she could help us get to a quarantine zone of some sort, so with her, the journey has just begun.
