I was in my bedroom, and I was on omegle. I don't want anyone to see my face, so I just turned in to chat.

Then I came across this strange person. We had a little chat.

Stranger: Hello. (3)

Me: Why do you put a number in your sentence?

Stranger: How was your day? (2)

Me: Answer my question first.

Stranger: How was your day? (1)

Me: Fine, my day was alright.

Stranger: Thank you. You're safe now.

The stranger disconnected. It was strange why he (he seemed a he) always had a number after he finished his sentence. It seemed like a countdown, I suppose. I was a little annoyed, but I was NOT creeped out. My friend Brian, was a weirdo, and I thought he might know why this is happening.

I call Brian, and he answers it. 'Hey dude. What's up?' he says. 'Oh, nothing. Can you just come here?' I reply. He chuckles and just said yes. After a few minutes or so, he came. I told him about the chat I had yesterday, and he totally believed it was some kind of supernatural. He suggested we come back to the chatroom, but I say, "I don't know, dude. This is omegle and we talk to strangers, we can't really find him directly."

But he just wants to talk to this guy. I just shrug and we go online. It was always the wrong person, so we end it. We were just about to give up when we came to a familiar greeting.

Stranger: Hello. (3)

Brian doesn't reply.

Stranger: What did you eat for breakfast? (2)

Brian doesn't reply again.

My stomach tightens. What if the countdown turns to zero? I snatch the laptop, but Brian stops me from typing.

Stranger: What did you eat for breakfast? (1)

I had a strong feeling this is going worse. I am sweating.

Stranger: I'm sorry. Please don't look back.

Then Brian and i exchange looks. There was a loud thump, and we blacked out.

I woke up in the hospital. I didn't know what happened, so I asked my mother. Mother explained that she came home and she found us unconscious and Brian was on my bed, lying in a pool of blood. I was shocked. Lying in a pool of blood? I wanted to see Brian, but the nurse doesn't want me to go on my own.

My mother Gabe me my laptop, and I got to omegle. I was talking to a stranger. I wanted to shut down my laptop, but my fingers started typing.

Me: Hello. (3)
